We are collaborative and innovative, working with partners and stakeholders to extend the reach of music education across genres and geographic locations, activity that drives innovation, depth, and diversity. We fund and support aspirational belief and broaden horizons by providing new ways to experience music. We overcome barriers the children face in learning an instrument or accessing music, including our tuition subsidy programme and digital project.Music Connect CIC works to make that vision truly universal, by creating new opportunities and enabling access to music for a wider range of young people in Wiltshire. We are not content for this to continue.īecause every school child should have the opportunity to transform their life through music. If you happen to be in the wrong geographical area, live in an area of high social deprivation or rural isolation. Unfortunately, many children in Wiltshire are limited in their access to music education through no fault of their own. Music can be a form of self-expression, can help build self-esteem and be a positive influence on well-being. Mum reports that Tom is "very ready for school and is going to do very well".Music is excellent for developing young minds, it fosters creativity, analytical thinking, and collaboration. According to his mum, Tom put in a lot of effort in preparing his masterpiece for each week. Children are asked to bring something according to the week's theme for a quick "show & tell" after Big School Boogie. During the MusicConnect "Big School Boogie" program we have theme each week including: numbers, alphabet, colours, shapes and animals. Tom (pictured right) loves doing his "homework". Feedback received from families has also been very positive with many not only seeing the benefits of the program but also appreciating the opportunity to spend quality time with their little one before they head off to school.’įrom: Cynthia Cheng, Registered Music Therapist, Musicconnect Centre staff have observed very positive interactions between the children and the activities and have noted how much the confidence has grown in many of the children throughout the program. The program successfully engaged 10 families who over the course of the six weeks have participated in a variety of musical activities which for example aim to promote counting, colour recognition, sharing /turn taking and being in front of a group. The Music Connect “Big School Boogie” program provided the perfect opportunity help children prepare for school by focusing on the on the key developmental areas of social and cognitive development as well as emotional learning all through the medium of music. A key aspect of the FNSW Riverstone team service delivery is to support families through the transition to school process. This term the Families NSW team was fortunate enough to secure funding to bring the “Big School Boogie” program to the centre. This includes Families NSW targeted early intervention programs, youth casework, family support and counselling services. Wesley Family Centre Riverstone is a not for profit charity operating in the North West of Sydney, the centre provides free support to families living in the local area with children 0-17. If i % 3 = 0, make the legal move between rods and. If i % 3 = 2, make the legal move between rods and. If i % 3 = 1, make the legal move between rods and. In each iteration of this loop, we do something depending on what remainder we get when we divide by three. If is even then set the destination rod to the auxiliary rod and the auxiliary rod to the original destination rod.Compute the minimum number of moves needed to solve the puzzle, which is equal to (we will see later how we arrived at this number).Once again we have four inputs which are the same as in the recursive approach: This approach is not as intuitive as the recursive method but it works nevertheless. The idea behind this method is to choose which pair of rods to make a legal move between, depending on what iteration of the algorithm we are on. Now let’s move the smallest disk to rod B as well:Īnother way to solve this problem is to think about it iteratively. So, it’s clear that we should move the second smallest disk. Moving the smallest disk will not accomplish much since moving it to rod A gets us back to the original state, and moving it to rod B is redundant since we could have just moved the smallest disk to rod B in the first place. Now we have two disks that we can move, namely the smallest and the second smallest. So let’s move the smallest disk to rod C: Our first move can only involve the smallest disk since there is only one stack and this disk is at the top of it. Let’s say the goal is to move all three disks to rod C (which rod we choose as our destination doesn’t matter). We start with all three disks stacked on one of the three rods (rod A in this case): Let’s see an example of the puzzle in action when there are a total of three disks. And I do so want to know what he is late for. I asked him a civil question, and he pretended not to hear me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to have my breakfast. A spider’s life is an uncertain thing, but I promise that I’ll stay as long as I can. I love blood! Spiders are really useful creatures. And I don’t really eat them…I drink their blood. Anyway if I didn’t catch insects and eat them, there would soon be so many they’d destroy the earth–Wipe out everything. ( Charlotte notices Wilbur’s disgusted reaction) That’s the way I’m made. My breakfast is waiting for me on the other side of my web. I know it looks fragile, but it’s really very strong. Salutations! It’s a fancy way of saying hello. That sets them off! In a couple of minutes the water will begin to froth and bubble furiously, and as soon as that happens you must quickly drink it all down, the whole jugful in one gulp. Then, very slowly, one by one, add ten hairs from your own head. Take a large jug of water, and pour all the little green things into it. You’ll never guess what they are… Crocodile tongues! There’s more power and magic in these little green things than in all the rest of the world put together. ( Gestures to his bag) You know what this is, my dear? GDP, according to the opinion piece in The Hill, wherein Vitale, a veteran of Paramount Classics and New Line Cinema, implores President Biden “appoint a champion of copyright for the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC) position.” This, from copyright industries whose global earnings contribute an estimated $1.5 trillion per year to the U.S. In an editorial published by The Hill this month, CreativeFuture CEO Ruth Vitale wrote that “powerful companies in Silicon Valley have preyed on creatives for decades, growing rapidly off ‘free’ access to creative works,” citing Commerce Department estimates “that digital piracy takes between $29.2 billion and $71 billion from the national economy every year” and anywhere from 230,000 to 560,000 American jobs. Lawsuits by entertainment companies against VPNs have also become more common of late, with moviemakers taking a page from the music industry playbook by targeting ISPs, and now third-party VPNs, in an effort to choke-off those who profit through piracy. VPNs, or virtual private networks, have become more popular in recent years as consumers aim to secure their identities and prevent tracking of online activities. Still unresolved are the filmmakers’ claims pertaining to defendants Leaseweb, ExpressVPN and ZenMate. VPN providers Sharktech and Surfshark recently entered into settlement with the filmmaker coalition. TorrentFreak says the parties agreed to cover their own costs, “but it’s unknown whether any monetary damages are involved. VPN Unlimited will additionally engage in targeted measures to prevent traffic to other pirate and proxy sites using the torrent protocol. “Pursuant to the confidential settlement agreement, Plaintiffs have requested and Defendant KeepSolid has agreed to use commercially reasonable efforts to block BitTorrent traffic,” the joint dismissal stipulation states, according to TorrentFreak, which reports the court has dismissed all claims against VPN Unlimited as a result of the agreement. district court in Virginia, with a screenshot from KeepSolid’s help page featuring The Pirate Bay as a potential destination, according to a report in TorrentFreak. “Despite Defendant’s knowledge that their subscribers are using their service to engage in widescale copyright infringements, Defendants failed to take reasonable steps to minimize the infringing capabilities of their service,” reads the complaint, filed last year in U.S. By failing to disconnect repeat offenders, VPN and KeepSolid are accused of encouraging copyright infringement. BitTorrent sites YTS and RARBG are also targeted in the settlement. has perpetuated widespread copyright infringement. The complaint alleges that VPN Unlimited’s subsidiary KeepSolid Inc. The move is part of a settlement in a federal lawsuit brought by a consortium of independent film production companies. VPN Unlimited has agreed to block BitTorrent traffic via sites such as The Pirate Bay as well as access to online pirate services on U.S. I’d probably had gotten one more had the razorcrest not been right behind it. As a backer I have now problem with that and actually wouldn’t mind a shot a. They could round that up to 25 thousand and have them go up on pulse after the Haslab orders went out. But I don’t think they ever said they’d only make the 22 thousand ordered. I almost missed the bus on this one due to a preorder hiccup.I think it’s entire possible they made more than they had orders for. I guess I’ll have to revisit this figure again down the line for a proper group shot.Ī big thank you to Alvin Antonio for selling me his Sentinel. I really wanted to break out my ML X-men and older Sentinel figures to pose next to this guy, but I just had way too many errands to do and I couldn’t push through with it. Hmm… I wonder where I can get a proper-looking chair for the Master Mold mode? Still, despite the negatives, this one’s still a keeper for me, as I set the bar low for this and really only wanted this for the “scaled” Master Mold mode and it delivered as far as I’m concerned, the rest are just nice “bonuses” for me. I’m also a bit surprised Hasbro didn’t include a voice chip for this, when the earlier SDCC version (and Galactus) came with voice chips. Hasbro really, really should have done a better job, given how much the set costs. However, the knee issues are a real big problem and it’s a potential deal breaker for a lot of folks. Overall, an incredibly impressive, hulking figure! It just towers over every other Marvel Legends figure. There is a minor fix for it though, one can opt to pop open the sides of the knees and tighten some screws, but I think over time, the problem will return. The problem is further compounded by the sheer weight of the hulking figure. It’s fine when it’s standing in an A-stance, but that can get boring quick. I actually found the elbows to have better ratchets than the knees. Hasbro used very, very weak ratchet joints and it shows, practically right out of the box. There’s a wire that runs through each of the cables, so you can pose them however you like, They are also pretty easy to straighten out afterwards, too, for returning to the box.Īs big and impressive-looking as this guy is, there are issues with the knees on it giving out. The set comes with flexible cables (tendrils?) that can be pegged into the holes on the robot’s palms. So, make sure to use that, otherwise the lights of the eyes won’t line up right when the head is rotated to the side and you get this:Įach of the Sentinel’s digits on its hands have individual articulation. The base of the neck can actually rotate (this is usually overlooked by most folks). Otherwise, as a default, the lights will switch off after 10 seconds. Holding the button down for more than 3 seconds will make the light last longer. Pressing it again will change it to green, and pressing again will change it to red. When you first turn it on (by pressing the chest plate), the lights will glow purple, then yellow. 2x AAA batteries are required to operate the electronics. To get to the battery compartment, you’ll have to pull out the back plate cover first. The Sentinel stands roughly 26.3 inches tall and supposedly 8.4 Kilos (I couldn’t take a proper reading, as my scale couldn’t handle the weight). This is one instance where I’m really glad Hasbro didn’t go for the simplified, “classic” comic book looks of the Sentinels. I really love the tooling that went into designing this figure. Over time, the Sentinels became more self-aware and considered humans as a threat to the planet as well. Created by scientists with US government funding, the Sentinels were made to “protect” mankind from the threat of powerful mutants from taking over. If it's the begging of a GCD, you're too close or too far. I don't know the exact range but you can get a feel at it by testing on target dummy and see when is your Lunar proc happening. And while I mentionned range, boomie have a magic range, where flight time of wrath is so that Lunar proc is as late as it can be in the next GCD, yielding shorter eclipse rotation (by up to 1 second). And when you don't have multiple target, Focus is a net DPS loss. Close call, and it also provides near-perfect idol uptime, lower the range requirements, so I'd go Glyph of Moonfire anyday, over Focus. Glyph of MF, by extending MF by 2x ticks will yield two ticks per eclipse rotation (in my case, and eclipse rotation is averaging 36s), yielding around 8.8k damage per 112s. This is a 166 DPS increase for strong positioncal requirements, and stronlgy jeopardizing idol uptime. Glyph of focus will yield 10k damage per 60s of fight. If you can use the 20 stars (requires at least 2 targets) then your Starfall damage can go around 100k per use. P.S: Many of those ideas are not mine, simply ones I've gathered over the ages, I claim no originality of any sort with this post.Ī second idea was swapping out Glyph of Moonfire for Glyph of Focus Please do not tell me to keep 100% uptime on IS to give 3% avoidance to the tank, I am aware that the Owl is considered a support class and I should go mage if all I care about is dps, im just curious about every bit of minmax people feel like sharing. I hope this thread generates some discussion and anyone who feels like pulling out the math will be most apreciated, as I dont believe myself good enough a theorycrafter to consider this. Oh and it seems foolish to ask but do you folks believe starfire outperforms even Eclipsed Wrath during BL? I usualy do not wish to break my cycle but if there is an offchance might as well ask. Do you believe this a worthy point? I have no issue sacrificing the pushback resistence on wrath you would usually get with these points, due to OF making you pushback immune. I had qualms about Gale Winds but then again I usually heal VDW so. Insect Swarm which is not that great a talent tbh. Is that as clear a dps gain as it seems?Īnd as far as talents are concerned - Owlkin Frenzy seems to proc rather often on fights such as Marrow and LoD infest used to proc it around 10 months ago when I was still a LoD raider, to obtain all 3 points I would sacrifice Gale Winds and 1 point from Imp. If however you disregard this idea and simply MF when running out of solar or to maintain your stacks you will find yourself at a point where your mf has faded and lunar has just faded as well, would you use IS then? When would it be worthy? I simply cast it due to not wanting to risk my idol stacks but some more informed opinions would be great.Ī second idea was swapping out Glyph of Moonfire for Glyph of Focus, most fights do not penalise you for being in focused Starfall range, and while many can argue that numbers on Marrow or DBS dont matter its still a nice point to discuss IMO.Īnother one - Idol swapping the Resto Idol with rejuv as a form of prepot, then swapping to Lunar Eclipse Idol, then back to Resto for the last tick of rejuv and then its business as usual. (Is that correct or is it simply suboptimal gameplay that would risc the idol?) Not getting a crit in 5 Wraths is not that uncommon(It isnt seen often but it exists) combine that with not getting a Starfire crit right off the bat and you are putting your stacks in jeopardy. However even if the assertion in this post is correct (which is that you've 6s of your MF left at the end of a Lunar Eclipse) this would require some good RNG to instantly proc your Solar eclipse and would only leave you with 5s of Vicious(Idol Stacks) left once you leave the eclipse. Only refreshing MF after a wrath cast that procs Nature's Grace. from this thread (User NainVert's post) I saw a very interesting idea. (Figuring that losing my 5% crit for several seconds is better than losing a gcd while under a near 1k SP boost) I prepot speed though, due to having lunar as my first eclipse to make best use of Engi gloves.)Ģ) I let dots drop during trinket procs (PotNL and CTS both HC) even if it means losing my Idol stacks. (My Idea here is that spellpower is better than haste, and the devaluation of crit that stems from it being useless during Lunar Eclipse is not a factor. I have been utilising several ideas but as to their correctness I am unsure:ġ) Using Potion of Wild Magic during Solar Eclipse instead of Speed during Lunar. How do you people maximise your dps on boomkin? I've been meaning to pose this thread for something like 5 years now so here goes. |
